📍 Funding Strategy Overview
The Funding strategy is a method of generating profit through funding fees earned from futures positions.
Funding fees are periodic payments used to balance demand between long and short positions, and are distributed at set intervals.
If you hold a position until the funding time, the exchange pays out the funding fee as a guaranteed profit.

📘 How It Works
- Funding fees are paid out at regular intervals—every 8, 4, or 2 hours—depending on the exchange.
- Since funding fees are fixed-income, profits can be generated without market price movement.
- When there are more long positions in the market, short positions receive the funding fee (positive funding rate).
- Conversely, when short positions dominate, long positions receive the funding fee (negative funding rate).

🔧 Execution Steps
- Open a futures account and deposit funds on a global exchange (e.g., Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate.io) by transferring assets from your domestic exchange.
- Check the Funding page or the Funding Top 5 section to identify favorable funding rates.
- If the funding rate is positive, hold a short position; if it’s negative, hold a long position.
- Maintain the position until the funding payout time, then close the position to receive the funding fee.

🚀 Recommended Use Cases
- Use as a short-term short strategy during periods when fixed income is preferred (see the Premium page).
- Utilize cross long/short positions for risk-free returns (available on the Premium page).
- Combine spot and futures positions for risk-free arbitrage opportunities (available on the Hedge page).
⚠️ Important Notes
- Funding times and rates may vary depending on the exchange. Always double-check with the exchange directly before investing.
- If the closing fees exceed the funding profit, losses may occur.
- Since expected returns fluctuate in real time, timely entry and exit are critical.
